Our Nano Ceramic Coating is a clear liquid that can be applied in layers for the ultimate protection and shine. Once cured, Nano Ceramic Coating will transform itself into a permanent, durable shield. The coating provides industry-leading protection with many times the hardness of waxes, sealants, and other protective products. Our Nano Ceramic Coating sets a new standard in vehicle care and protection and is only available through our Approved Applicators, F1 Auto Detailing & Ceramic Coating.
Due to the fact that our Nano Ceramic Coatinghas a 3D polymeric framework, it dries up and is not flat, which means it adds about 2 – 3 microns of thickness and protection to your paint system. It can also be applied to wheels, plastic, molding, glass, and gel coats (like boats). Our Nano Ceramic Coatinghas a 9H hardness level, which means it refers to Mohs hardness scale of minerals in a range from 1 to 10. Here is another fact H next to 9 doesn’t stand for hardness; it stands for Hardtmuth, as Franz Hardtmuth, inventor/creator of the graphite found in pencils.
Here are some misconceptions regarding stronger ceramic coatings than 9H Nano ceramic coating. There are products that are being marketed as 10H or higher, and auto detailers try to sell ceramic coatings, which they suggest are 10H ceramic coatings. that isn’t possible. Here are some examples: Clear coat on your car is rated at 1H, PPF or clear bra is rated at 3H, Organic Polysilazane (Glass) is rated at 5H, and only Inorganic Polysilazane (Ceramic Coating), which can go from liquid to solid, is 9H. Silicon Carbide Composite is 10H, which is “Diamond” and not a ceramic coating. There is no liquid form 10H. Please take a look at the chart below.
Hydrophobicity in 9H Nano Ceramic Coatings is the physical property of a molecule (known as a Hydrophobe) that is seemingly repelled from a mass of water. In this image you will see multiple layers of ceramic coating. This will change the speed of mass in which water repels. As it was mentioned above putting Ceramic coating is like having another coat of clear coat. 1 coat of regular ceramic coating will give you approximately 5 years, or, in the case of 9H Nano Ceramic Coatings Pro, 9 years of protection and make the applied surface super hydrophobic. The second quote of ceramic coating, for example 9H Coatings Pro, will add approximately another 1 year of protection a total of 10 years, and change the speed of hydrophobicity to hyper hydrophobic. 2nd coat will add approximately another year of protection to our ceramic coatings (10 years) and extremely change the super hydrophobicity to hyper hydrophobic. Adding multiple layers of ceramic coating will not change the 9H properties. It will only add to the years of protection (I.E. 9H x 3 coats don’t equal 27H) It is chemistry not math. The property of 9H does not change, so it only goes from 1H to 9H, and any additional coats after the first coat will only add one year.
